Vigo is a member of the gladiateurs senior men’s team and plays elite rugby for the Quebec u18 men. Vigo is a fit back row forward who can be seen all over the field as a ball carrier and a tackler. His play caught the eye of national team coaches last summer when Vigo played at the Canadian rugby championships. This lead to his invitation to several national level camps. Vigo is currently enrolled at John Abbott College where he also plays rugby and continues to further his education. We wish Vigo the best of luck with his schooling and his continued progression into elite rugby.
Fabio is the older brother to Vigo, and it seems Vigo is following in his brothers footsteps. Fabio currently plays for the galdiateurs senior men’s team and previously played for Quebec u18 as well as Canada u19. Fabio was able to wear the national maple leaf while touring Europe with the Canadian team in 2014. Fabio plays the center position and has a good burst of speed and strength. He is versatile and played the full back position while with the national team.
Natasha previously played for the Gladiateurs Senior Women (formerly Hull Volant) and currently plays on
the national women’s 7’s team. She played for the senior women while at Ottawa University during her
undergraduate degree. Following college, Natasha went out to British Colombia and started training with
the national senior women’s 7’s team. This has led to her playing in tournaments all over the world and
recently going to the summer Olympic Games in 2016. At the games she was able to win a bronze medal with
the rest of the senior women’s 7’s team. Way to go Tash!! She continues to give back to the club by
participating in clinics with juniors players whenever she is in town. She is a great example of how
hard work and dedications can lead to success. We proud to have this great Olympian as part of our rugby
Elena currently plays her junior rugby with the junior gladiateurs women’s team and her elite rugby with the Quebec U16 women’s team. Elana’s speed and ball handling skills make her a very elusive and skilled player. Last season she played with the Quebec women’s u16 team. She is a dedicated individual with a bright future ahead of her. We look forward to seeing what this girl will do in the future.
These four senior men recently finished an undefeated season with the Ottawa Gee Gee’s University team. Congratulations gentleman, we’re excited to see what you can do this summer.
Nick recently finished his first season with the McGill University rugby team. Although McGill finished in 2nd place, Nick had a strong season playing several varsity level. Great work Nick!
Paulina recently finished a very successful season with the Ottawa University Gee Gee’s women’s team. They won the Quebec title and went on to the CIS national championship game. Sadly they narrowly lost to St. Francis Xavier in the finals. Keep up the great work and we look forward to see what this girl can do next summer.
